Owners on the job
Ted Glickley served as Controller for both Midwest Express and Orscheln Transportation in the early 1990s. Following this work, he began his own CPA practice, which he operated for five years. Ted sold his firm in 1993 and became Owner and VP of Finance and Operations for a Kansas City payroll service company, which experienced rapid growth for the next nine years.
Jeff Johnson began his supply chain sales career with almost 10 years at Ruan Transportation Management Systems. Ruan invested in its people with sales and management training, as well as formal quality and statistical process control education. In the late 1990s, Jeff joined Wagner Industries of Kansas City, eventually becoming VP of Sales and Marketing for the warehousing, packaging, and transportation company.
Uniting forces
Jeff and Ted joined forces in 2007, when they purchased Midwest Express and Orscheln Transportation, with a proven supply chain team and a stable, 30-year history. From the beginning, they set out to grow the company and create a place in which they, and drivers, would be happy to work.
