Understanding limitations, finding solutions
The challenges facing logistics, transportation, and supply chain managers — such as fuel surcharges, lack of transportation capacity, increased variability in order-cash cycles, and on-time deliveries — are beyond your direct control.
We all know execution alone won’t maximize effectiveness and efficiency in your supply chain. Building networks that optimize strategy, planning, and implementation with partners you trust can help you transform your business to a consumer-demand-driven supply chain. And we’re here to help.
Improving constantly
At Midwest Express, we work hard to constantly improve our:

Expect more from us
On-time pickup and delivery
We’re proud to say we’re predictable. We’ve built a reputation for reliability because of our consistent on-time pickup and delivery performance. Our customers know they can count on us, which is why nearly every one of our top customers has been with us for more than 15 years. Roll with us, and expect on-time results every day, every week, every month, in every high cycle and downturn.
Responsive and reliable
Even when capacity is tight — and we know it is historically tight! — we respond. Communication is the key to success, and we won’t let you down when it comes to addressing your immediate needs and concerns. When so many truckers can’t or won’t, we will.
For us, keeping our promises comes ahead of seeking higher paying freight. Even if it means less money in the short term, MWEX values taking care of our customers with integrity and reliability for the long term.
A high-functioning fleet
Moving forward
Drivers work in dependable tractors with high-performing track records. Our average tractor fleet is less than three years old.
Our trailer to truck ratio is 3 to 1. Drop trailers keep freight moving, and they keep our drivers from having to unnecessary live load and unload.
Our shop and mobile service trucks allow us to keep freight moving as they quickly respond to maintenance issues and unplanned downtime.
Positive driver interactions
We adopted early to electronic logging devices (ELD) for more efficient operations, but this tool hasn’t replaced our face-to-face interactions and phone conversations with drivers. MWEX team members are our greatest assets, so it’s important for us to maintain regular communication with every single driver.
Service Area
Midwest Express is a regional carrier. This map shows the main cities and states where we operate.

Customer locations
Our top customers are all direct-relationship shippers. We constantly add customers to minimize the company’s reliance on brokered freight.
