Safety
Safety operations
Safety drives performance
Safety begins with hiring the best drivers — those who have good driving records and value safety. After we’ve hired and trained the best, we continue to reinforce the benefits of safe performance, especially through regular safety meetings with our insurance and workers’ compensation providers.
Ensuring safe equipment
We understand the importance of maintaining equipment, especially when it affects your safety on the job. If you experience issues related to maintenance, customer constraints, or weather, we are standing by to help get things back on track.
Maintenance capabilities
Our full-time maintenance staff regularly check tires, lights, and brakes. We also have mobile maintenance capabilities to address problems that occur on the road. Our goal is to reduce downtime so you can keep moving. If you run into vehicle issues, you can report them using our vehicle condition report process.
Continuing education
We encourage drivers to participate in regular safety meetings with our insurance and workers’ compensation providers. Our drivers, the DOT, Highway Patrol, insurance companies, and even the driving public, are all stakeholders in effective safety implementation.
